Edalex News - EdTech Startup News and Trends

Edalex is an award-winning software development company driving the transition to a learner-centric skills-first economy through its innovative platforms and services. Recognising the limitations of traditional education pathways in meeting today’s rapidly evolving workforce needs, Edalex provides solutions that unlock and connect learning, skills and evidence. Our platforms, including the CODiE award-winning openEQUELLA (the single source of truth for content), Credentialate (delivering skills visibility and personalised recognition), and openRSD (for standardised skills description data), empower individuals to showcase their full capabilities and enable educators to identify and provide evidence-backed recognition of the skills their learners need for employability. SkillsAware is a human-centered, AI-powered skills recognition engine co-founded by Edalex, SkillsIQ (a skills-focused not-for-profit), and Dr Mark Keough. Building on decades of technology and skills expertise, SkillsAware captures and maintains an evidence-based understanding of individuals’ evolving skills, aligned to industry-verified skills. This SkillsTech platform enables organisations to recognise prior learning (RPL), identify workforce skills, highlight strengths and gaps for future planning, and optimise skills-based hiring and resourcing.
